100 Year Starship

The 100 Year Starship ( 100YSS ) is a funding project of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and NASA , which deals with the necessary research, possible technologies and measures for manned, interstellar space flights over the next hundred years.

The project was presented by Pete Worden in October 2010 . Events take place every year, the 100 Year Starship Symposia . In 2012 Mae Jemison took over the project management.
