1201 North Market Street , also known as The Chase Center or Chase Manhattan Center , is the name of a skyscraper in Wilmington . The building is 110.6 meters (330  ft ) tall and has 23 floors. It was planned by the architecture firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill and was completed and opened in 1983. It has since been the tallest building in the state of Delaware . The current name has been taken from the address of the building. In the past it was also called Manufacturers Hanover Plaza and Chemical Bank Plaza , which can be traced back to the respective main tenants Manufacturers Hanover and Chemical Bank . It is used exclusively for office purposes.
