The 17th Reserve Infantry Brigade was a large unit of the Bavarian Army .

The brigade was established on September 28, 1916 when the 13th Landwehr Infantry Brigade was renamed the 17th Reserve Infantry Brigade. It was subordinate to the 9th Reserve Division established in October 1916 . The brigade staff was disbanded on June 25, 1918.

In November 1916, the 8th Landwehr Infantry Regiment was replaced by the 11 Reserve Infantry Regiment.
