The 2nd Badminton Bundesliga 2014/15 as the second highest German division in the sport of badminton was divided into two seasons (north and south), in which eight teams competed against each other. Only the third placed in the 2nd Badminton Bundesliga South (SG Anspach) was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga 2015/16. The master of the season south was not allowed to be promoted to the upper house as the second team. The master of the North season and the two runners-up refused the promotion offered. The ninth place in the Bundesliga, SV Fun-Ball Dortelweil, did not accept the vacant starting position and is relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga (South Season). The tenth place TSV Neuhausen-Nymphenburg accepted the vacated starting place. Since there is no other promoter than Anspach and the eighth-placed PTSV Rosenheim withdraws the team, only 9 instead of 10 teams will start in the 1st Badminton Bundesliga in the 2015/16 season.
