2010 KQ is a small, asteroid-like object that was discovered on May 16, 2010. Its orbit around the sun is so similar to the earth's orbit that scientists assume it is a rocket stage .

An analysis found that 2010 KQ had a 6% probability of colliding with Earth in a 30-year period from 2036, causing the object to disintegrate in the atmosphere.
