description

The building was erected during the 18th century. A small one-story annex was added to the left in the 19th century.

The three-story residential and commercial building is on the High Street opposite the confluence with Church Street in the historic center of Brechin. It has an L-shaped floor plan. Its facades are plastered with Harl . A shop is set up on the ground floor of the street-side, two-axis-wide gable facade. It is designed with two arched openings for the shop window and entrance door with flanking simple pilasters and rusticated masonry. The lattice windows on the upper floors presumably correspond to the original condition, while the chimney at the gable end may have been reduced in width. On the left is the small annex from the 19th century. An unusually shaped, rounded, three-story stair tower, the masonry of which is made of rubble , emerges from the rear north facade .
