3-o-Matic is a dance floor group consisting of the singer Nancy Rentzsch (later Baumann), Tanja Geuder and the rapper George Walden III alias Wild Thang. Andy Lutschounig (N-Dee) and Achim Kleist produced the group.

history

Nancy Rentzsch was previously a background singer at Haddaway together with Tanja Geuder . In 1993, the two of them went on a major Eurodance tour with him, which also included DJ BoBo . Baumann and Geuder were later members of the DJ BoBo crew and were also present there on tours.

Both had been thinking about working with their own band for a long time. She received the demo of Success from a producer . The two women were immediately enthusiastic about the song and founded 3-o-Matic. In 1994 Success was released as the first single , which reached number 24 in Germany. In 1995 the successor single Hand in Hand was released, which only made it to number 46. In addition, there were minor disagreements within the band. After the release of the third single All I Want Is You , which only made it to number 100, the situation between rapper and management escalated. 3-o-Matic was then dissolved. So the album was never released, although it was almost finished. It should have been named Serenata .

Baumann and Geuder, who continued to work for DJ BoBo, tried their luck again in 1997 with the 2 for Good project . However, this was just as unsuccessful as Baumann's solo project Enflame, whose two singles flopped.

Nancy Baumann is now married to DJ BoBo, has two children and is responsible for the dancers' costumes. Tanja Geuder lives secluded with her family in Australia .

Since April 2014 the original members Tanja Geuder and George Walden III have been forming under the new name 2-o-Matic. Their first single Harder Like Stone was also released in April. The two are currently working on the new single Angel of My Life .
