The Mitterspitz ( 2925 m above sea level ) is a mountain in the Dachstein Mountains in Austria .
It is embedded between Torstein and Hohem Dachstein , from which it is separated by the Lower and Upper Windlucke , and with these forms the distinctive trident of the Dachstein south walls. It lies on the border between Styria and Upper Austria .
The first ascent took place on August 14, 1872 by Oskar Simony with G. Schmied from the Unteren Windlucke over the western flank.
