32, pick up!

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

32, pick up! is a prank or joke that is usually carried out in a round by card players . A person is offered to play "thirty-two lifts," something like, "Are we playing thirty-two lifts? I'm handing out! ”. If the person asked agrees, the cards are thrown on the floor and he has to collect them again. 32 is the number of cards in a Skat sheet.

Another variant is to “sell” “32, pick up!” As a card trick, which is shown after some “normal” card tricks, often as a conclusion when you run out of fun or the tricks.

In the English-speaking world, the joke is known as 52 Pick Up . It is a widespread joke, at least in America, that can be traced back to at least the beginning of the 20th century.
