The 3A Composites Holding AG is an internationally active Swiss industrial company with headquarters in Steinhausen ZG . The company forms a division of the Swiss group of companies Schweiter Technologies AG .

history

In its current form, the company was founded in the early 1990s when the activities of Airex AG ( Sins , CH), Kapa GmbH ( Osnabrück , D) and the previously founded Alusuisse Composites USA as well as the production of aluminum composite panels were within the Swiss aluminum company Alusuisse in the aluminum works in Singen (D) under the name Alusuisse Composites as a business area.

With the takeover of Alusuisse by the Canadian aluminum company Alcan in 2000, it became Alcan Composites . Additional companies in the USA were acquired during the Alcan period. On December 1, 2009, this business area was sold to Schweiter Technologies AG and renamed 3A Composites .
