from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 3 Orfatis were a trio of acrobats from Pforzheim . They consisted of Arthur Pfrommer, Reinhold Saalmüller and Kurt Wolf.

Career

Their first experiences were in street theater . In 1930, the famous Renz circus included the three in its program for one season under the stage name 3 Orfatis. Her specialty was equilibrism (ground floor acrobatics). Appearances followed in the ring of a Circus Althoff . The career was made easier by the fact that the vaudeville was a contemporary and popular form of entertainment at the time.

They experienced one of their greatest successes before the Second World War at Scala in Berlin , where they performed together with the famous Comedian Harmonists in 1937 .

They had to go to Norway as soldiers for two years, where they soon returned to work as acrobats in the front theater .

In 1949 they performed for one season at Circus Franz Althoff . In 1950 they had their first engagement in England. In the 1954/55 season they won the gold medal in the international artist parade at Tower Circus in Blackpool .

TV appearances followed in the 1950s: “Learned is learned”, “Without a network and a false bottom”, later guest appearances in “Blauer Bock” and “Berliner Bilderbogen”. The Orfatis were also often represented on Italian television.

In 1975 the Orfatis withdrew from active stage life.
