The 4TP was a Polish light tank from the Second World War . As a special feature, it had a tower that was set slightly to one side and was intended to be used for reconnaissance purposes. The propulsion consisted of one 6- cylinder - engine with within this class of tanks comparatively high output of 70 kW (95 hp).

The construction was launched in 1936 under the name PZInz. 140 started. Before Germany's attack on Poland , however, only a prototype could be built that was probably not used in combat. On the basis of the chassis of the 4TP, the amphibious tank with the designation PZInz. 130 was constructed, but this was also still in the development stage in September 1939. Both designs were part of an ambitious Polish tank upgrade program in the late 1930s, which was interrupted by the outbreak of war.
