The 50 kV line Moosburg – Munich was the first high-voltage line in Europe operated with a voltage of 50 kV . It went into operation in 1905 as an overhead line , was 53 kilometers in length and connected the Uppenborn works near Moosburg on the Isar with Munich . The connection ran over copper cables (2 × 3 × 16 mm) on two systems with separate trusses.
