947 cycle challenge

The 947 Cycle Challenge is a one-day race for women in Johannesburg, South Africa .

The race was held for the first time in November 2015 and is the first race for women in South Africa to be certified by the UCI World Cycling Association ( UCI category 1.1 ). The annual date is the third Sunday in November. It is the last race of the year for women on the UCI calendar and the only UCI race for women in Africa.

The first winner of the race was the South African Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio .

The woman cycling race held as part of the cyclo-sport race 947 Cycle Challenge held, which is organized since 1997, with over 30,000 participants as the world's second largest cycling event after the Cape Town Cycle Tour in Cape Town true.
