John Moses Browning developed the 9 mm Browning Long cartridge for the 1903 Browning M.1903 released by the Fabrique Nationale d'Armes de Guerre in Herstal . The cartridge was used in various pistols and submachine guns in the years that followed. Production ended around 1950. In the meantime, however, Fiocchi has resumed production.
