STEAG Solar Energy Solutions GmbH (formerly Gildemeister energy solutions GmbH ), with the brand name SENS , is a global service company in the field of renewable energies with headquarters in Würzburg .

Since July 1, 2019, Gildemeister energy solutions GmbH has been operating under the name STEAG Solar Energy Solutions GmbH (SENS) after the takeover by the Essen-based company STEAG GmbH from DMG Mori AG .

Business areas

The company specializes in the turnkey development, planning, construction, operation and maintenance of PV open-air systems (solar parks) as well as the creation and implementation of energy solutions for industry and commerce. SENS works together with project developers and investors - from project initiation to conception and commissioning.

The company designs and creates rooftop systems as well as complete solutions for industry, for example consisting of solar , storage and e-mobility technology. The “Energy Services” division includes operations management, plant optimization, monitoring and maintenance services.

The "Energy Efficiency" division also includes offers in the field of energy efficiency , supported by the subsidiary Optenda GmbH (formerly Gildemeister energy efficiency ). In addition to energy consulting services, its own energy management software was developed there, the "Energy Monitor".
