The Goundam airfield ( French Aéroport de Goundam ) is an airfield in the city of Goundam in the north of the Republic of Mali in the Timbuktu region . The airfield is located in the Flight Information Area (FIR) of Niamey Center.

Up until December 24, 2012, the airfield was served weekly by Air Mali with smaller machines in domestic service. Air Mali has ceased operations until further notice. Timbuktu Airport, around 75 kilometers northeast, is currently available to residents and visitors of Goundam for scheduled flights .
