Aşiyan (magazine)
The Ottoman magazine Aşiyan ( Arabic آشیان, DMG Āšiyān 'at home, house') was published in 1908 and 1909 in a total of 14 weekly issues in Istanbul . Its content focused on literary, general scientific and political topics. One of the most famous authors was Halide Edib Adivar (1884-1964), a popular Turkish nationalist, writer and feminist who published numerous articles on the position of women in the Ottoman Empire, the modernization of women and criticism of the politics of the time.
