Aḫuni

Aḫuni was between about 875 and 855 BC. King of Til-Barsip , the capital of the Principality of Bit Adini . He is first mentioned in the Assyrian sources when he had to pay tribute to the Assyrian great king after the destruction of Kaprabu by Aššur-nasir-apli II . Bit Adini, supported by other local rulers, continued his resistance against the Assyrians, which was first introduced by Sulmanu-ašared III. could finally break. Sulmanu-ašared III.
