A-endopsychosin

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

α-Endopsychosin ( CAS number 99638-41-2) is a hypothetical antagonist of the binding site for phencyclidine on the NMDA receptor .

properties

α-Endopsychosin was first suspected in extracts from porcine brains and is probably also endogenous in humans. It's probably a peptide . It has been suggested that, like β-endopsychosin, it binds to the sigma receptor and is involved in the sensation of near-death experiences .
