ABC reporting and evaluation centers (AMASt) were part of the management in disaster control in accordance with federal requirements. So you were part of the civil and civil protection . The ABC reporting and evaluation points were used to record and evaluate the ABC measurement results, create ABC situation maps, keep air situation maps and exchange information with other AMASt units and the warning service . They also informed the management staff, initiated the decentralized triggering of the sirens and carried out certain, simplified weather forecasts. If necessary, the tasks of the observation and ABC measuring points were also taken over.

The ABC reporting and evaluation unit consisted of a leader, a group leader and six ABC helpers / evaluators (total strength: 1/1/6/8 ). An ABC reporting and evaluation center did not have its own motor vehicle. The equipment included a desk phone, NBC protective clothing, a dose rate meter , radiation dosimeter , detection equipment for chemical agents, a station clock, evaluation equipment, writing and map material and a pocket calculator.

According to the law on the reorganization of civil protection (ZSNeuOG), this federal concept for an ABC reporting and evaluation point no longer exists today.
