ABC Radio was the first medium to report the death of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963 . The service was formerly called ABC Radio News.

By Citadel Media , the hourly news programs are adopted by 2000 Affilates. Since the 2000s, ABC News Radio has also been experimenting with offers in the field of “ News on Demand ”.
