Federação Paulista de Futebol
The Federação Paulista de Futebol (abbreviation FPF; more precisely: FPF-SP) is the national football association of the state of São Paulo in Brazil .
The FPF was founded on April 22, 1941 and has replaced the Liga de Futebol do Estado de São Paulo (LFESP) as the umbrella organization for football in São Paulo. At the same time, it has joined the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) as the superordinate national football association of Brazil. Since then, the FPF has organized professional gaming in São Paulo with several competitions.

National importance
As the “motherland” of Brazilian football with the oldest championship history, the football clubs of the state of São Paulo, which are based in the FPF, are still a dominant force in Brazilian football, both for men and women. In all national championships and cup competitions they unite the record number of titles won. And on the international stage, too, the Paulistano Association with its four big clubs, Corinthians, Palmeiras, Santos and SPFC, with four World Cups , three Club World Championships , eight Copa Libertadores , two Copa CONMEBOL and one each Copa Mercosul and Copa Sul Americana are by far the most successful clubs in Brazil.
