The Copa Libertadores Femenina 2014 was the sixth staging of the only international women's soccer competition in South America. It was held over eleven days in November of that year. Twelve clubs from all ten national associations of the South American continental football association CONMEBOL took part in the tournament. The host was the Brazilian city of São José dos Campos , home of the defending champions São José EC , who emerged victorious from the Copa Libertadores again after eleven days. There they played in the Estádio Martins Pereira , in the Estádio ADC GM and in the Estádio ADC Parahyba . In contrast to the men's edition , all games in the tournament were played without return games.
Since the organization of the Copa Libertadores Femenina 2015 was advertised for the first time among several applicants and finally Medellín in Colombia was awarded the contract, this edition of the competition was the last to take place in Brazil, which has always acted as the host with changing cities.

Group stage
The mode was left unchanged compared to previous years. The twelve teams were assigned to three groups of four; CONMEBOL announced the result of the corresponding draw on October 25, 2014. The group winners and the best runner-up qualified for the semi-finals. In the event of a tie in the group stage, the goal difference would have been decisive for progress, then the number of goals scored and finally the result of the teams in question in their game against each other. If the balance had still existed after that, it was up to the organizers to decide how to proceed. If two teams had tied on points after a meeting on the last group match day, a penalty shoot-out attached to the game would have made the decision.
If two teams from one association had made it to the semi-finals, they would have had to play against each other in order to guarantee internationality in the final. In the game for third place, the losers of the two semi-finals meet. In the final round there was no extra time, a draw after 90 minutes was immediately followed by a penalty shoot-out. The semi-finals were both played on November 13th and the third place match and the final on November 16, 2014. The venue for all four games was the Estádio Martins Pereira . The final is described in more detail in the information box below.
