Copa Feminino 2008

The competition for the Copa do Brasil de Futebol Feminino 2009 was the third edition of the national association cup in women's football of the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) in Brazil . Cup winner was last year's winner Santos FC from Santos in the state of São Paulo .

The cup win was linked to qualifying for the Copa Libertadores Femenina 2010 .

mode

The competition was held in a round-robin tournament, which the participating thirty-two clubs had to contest in the knockout system. Each round up to the quarter-finals, a home and return match was played, in which the away goals rule applied. But if a visiting team won the first leg with a difference of at least three goals, the second leg is canceled in their favor. This only applied to the first round.

The games of the semi-finals, as well as the game for 3rd place and the final were each decided in just one game.
