The São Francisco do Conde Esporte Clube (abbr. SFCEC) is a Brazilian sports club from São Francisco do Conde in the state of Bahia . Since its inception, it has only been involved in women's football .
history
The association was founded in the New Year's 2001 in response to the dissolution of the women's team of the Galícia EC from Salvador . The homeless players and their coach Mário Augusto Filgueiras moved to São Francisco do Conde, about 70 km away, in the interior of All Saints Bay, and founded their own club here. This immediately took over the dominance in women's football in Bahia and won all 14 national championships held up to 2015. The club now also has its own youth teams.
The club was one of the participants in the first Copa do Brasil Feminino in 2007 and one of the first participants in the Brazilian women's football championship , launched in 2013 , in which it was one of the few clubs to participate in all editions. As third place in the CBF ranking , he was able to immediately start playing in the newly established first division (Série A1) in 2017.
As a venue, the club uses the Estádio Junqueira Ayres, the home of the AA São Francisco club, which is already established in São Francisco do Conde .
