Rafaelle Leone Carvalho Souza , known as Rafaelle Souza or Rafaelle , (born June 18, 1991 in Salvador ) is a Brazilian soccer player .
Career
society
During her studies at the University of Mississippi Souza ran for the local college team of the Ole Miss Rebels . In January 2014, it was the college draft of NWSL in the second round at position ten of the franchise of Houston Dash contracted and debuted there on April 20 in an away win against the Boston Breakers as, substitute. After the end of the season Souza was released from the Dash, played briefly for the São Francisco EC and was subsequently signed by the reigning champions FC Kansas City . Before the start of the 2015 season, however, she left Kansas City FC to prepare for the 2015 World Cup with the Brazilian national team .
National team
Souza played for the Brazilian youth national teams in the age groups U-17 and U-20 and took part with them at the U-17 World Cup in 2008 in New Zealand and in the U-20 World Cup in 2010 in Germany. Brazil was eliminated in the preliminary round of both tournaments and Souza scored one goal in three appearances. On March 24, 2012, she made her debut in a friendly against Canada in the Brazilian national team. In her second appeal in November 2013 against the United States , however, she was not used.
