← Brasileirão Feminino Série A1 2017
The Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol Feminino 2018 - Série A1 is the sixth season of the national soccer championship of the women of Brazil , organized by the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol . This season the number of qualifying places for the Copa Libertadores Femenina was increased to two.
The Série A1 of the 2018 season started with the first matchday on Wednesday, April 25th and ended with the final game on Friday, October 26th. The sport club Corinthians Paulista from São Paulo secured the championship title for the first time .
meeting
On December 4, 2017, the CBF announced the calendar for the 2018 season of the Série A1. The first division championship starts three days after the final of the South American Championship in Chile with the first matchday on April 25 and ends with the final game on October 24, 2018.
Participating clubs
mode
The sixteen participating clubs are divided into two groups of eight teams each. Each team competes against each group opponent in a round-trip round, so that each team has to play at least fourteen games. The bottom of the group is determined to be relegated to the A2 series of the following season. The best four in each group qualify for the final round, which is played in the knockout system with a return leg, in which the away goals rule applies. Both finalists will therefore play a maximum of twenty games at the end of the season and play the championship among themselves.
The group draw and the schedule were announced on April 3, 2018.
