Gislaine Cristina Souza da Silva (born August 22, 1988 in São José dos Campos , São Paulo ) is a Brazilian soccer player .

Career

As a teenager, Gislaine made contact with the leading sports club in her hometown, the São José EC , for which she has been part of the first women's team since 2004. Together with Formiga , Andressa Alves and Bruna Benites , she formed the core of a successful team that won the Copa Libertadores Femenina three times . In late 2015, she sustained a serious injury, which she suffered from for over a year after a complicated operation. She has only been back in advanced training since spring 2017.

At the beginning of 2018, Gislaine moved to SC Corinthians in São Paulo .

National team

In 2008 Gislaine belonged to the junior selection of the Brazilian national team at the U-20 World Cup in Chile , in which, however, she was not used.

On the occasion of a friendly against Sweden (1-1) on June 19, 2013 in Stockholm , Gislaine was appointed to the senior squad for the first time by national coach Márcio Oliveira . She came to her first international match at the invitation tournament of the Valais Cup in Switzerland when she was substituted for New Zealand (0-1) on September 22, 2013 in Châtel-Saint-Denis . Their starting eleven followed on September 25 against Mexico (4-0) in Savièse .

In November 2017, Gislaine was invited back to the national team's training camp by coach Vadão .
