Gabriela "Gabi" Nunes da Silva (born March 10, 1997 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian soccer player .

Career

Gabi made her professional debut for the AD Centro Olímpico in the São Paulo state championship in the 2014 season, scoring five goals in twelve appearances. She scored her first goal on May 28, 2014 for a 3-0 final against São Bernardo FC . In the following Brazilian national championship, she scored three goals in eleven games. For the state championship in São Paulo in the summer of 2015, she switched to the newly formed women's team of the Grêmio Osasco Audax and scored twelve goals in twelve appearances, thus securing the top scorer. She returned to Centro Olímpico for the national championship in the second half of 2015 and was able to put on the top scorer's crown with fourteen goals in twelve appearances. In the 13-0 win over Duque de Caxias FC on September 20, 2015, she scored six goals in a championship game, which is only exceeded by the eight goals by Raquel Fernandes ( Ferroviária ) on October 6, 2014.

Immediately afterwards Gabi returned to the team of Grêmio Osasco Audax (now called Corinthians ) and scored seven goals in ten games in the 2016 national championship. In the 2016 state championship, she reached the semi-finals with Corinthians and scored nine goals in twelve games. In the Brazilian Cup competition in 2016, she contributed three goals to the title win, one of which she managed to make it 3-1 in the second final against São José EC .

For the entire 2018 season, Gabi suffered from her injury from the international match in San Diego the previous year, so she was not used when SC Corinthians won the title. After sixteen months of regeneration, Gabi Nunes was able to end her injury-related forced break in an invitation tournament in Rosario, Argentina, on November 26, 2018 against CA San Lorenzo de Almagro . To their first competitive use, they came after more than eighteen months on 16 March 2019 their Substitutes in the championship game against AA Ponte Preta at the Estádio Manoel Francisco Ferreira to Bálsamo . On July 15, 2019, Gabi Nunes suffered her third cruciate ligament injury in her right knee in a championship game against São Francisco EC . National team

In 2013 Gabi was part of the Brazilian national team for the U-17 South American Women's Championship in Paraguay . In 2015 she was appointed to the national team for the U-20 South American Women's Championship in Brazil, where she contributed three goals to winning the title.

Gabi scored five goals in four games at the U-20 World Cup in Papua New Guinea in 2016 .

Gabi made her senior national team debut on December 7, 2016 when she came on as a substitute for a 6-0 win against Costa Rica at the four-nation tournament in Manaus under national coach Emily Lima . In the game against the US selection on July 30, 2017 in San Diego at the Tournament of Nations , Gabi Nunes suffered a torn ligament in her left knee, which left her at the end of the 2017 season.
