Raquel Fernandes dos Santos (born March 21, 1991 in Contagem ) is a Brazilian soccer player .

Career

society

Raquel began her career in the youth of Rio Preto EC in São José do Rio Preto , from which she moved to local rivals América FC and scored ten goals in the 2009 São Paulo state championship for them. She then joined the Ferroviária in Araraquara for the first time , for which she has scored nineteen times in two seasons. In the 2012 season she moved to Club Atlético Mineiro in Belo Horizonte, where she won the 2012 national championship in Minas Gerais , for which she contributed twelve goals. After the women's division at Atlético was dissolved, she returned to Ferroviária in 2013, where she became a top striker and made a significant contribution to winning the national championship and cup in the 2014 season. In the 16: 1 win over Pinheirense EC on October 16, 2014, she scored the most goals by a player in a championship game with eight goals. For the 2015 season she moved to Botafogo FC (PB) in Paraíba State and from there to Changchun Yatai in China at the beginning of 2016 .

Raquel returned to Ferroviária for the 2017 season . In October 2017 she was loaned to the Corinthians / Audax cooperative on the occasion of the Copa Libertadores Femenina 2017 .

In late 2018 Raquel played a few appearances for EC Iranduba in the competition for the Copa Libertadores Femenina 2018 in Manaus . In January 2019 she moved to Sporting Huelva in Spain , for whom she scored her first goal in her fourth league appearance on February 3, 2019 in a 1-1 draw against UD Levante . On July 26, 2019, her move to Sporting Lisbon in Portugal became official.

National team

Raquel was officially appointed for the first time on August 22, 2013 for the squad of the women's senior team for the Valais Cup 2013 in Switzerland , where she was not used. She finally made her debut when she came on as a substitute in the 1: 4 defeat against the USA on November 10, 2013 in a friendly. She was also on the squad for the 2014 South American Championship in Ecuador , the 2015 World Cup in Canada and the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro .
