Campeonato Brasileiro Feminino 2015

The 2016 Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol Feminino was the fourth season of the national women's football championship of Brazil , organized by the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) . The championship was won by the CR Flamengo from Rio de Janeiro when he participated for the second time .

The championship competition of the 2016 season has been moved to the first half of the year for the first time and was held between January 21 and May 20.

mode

In contrast to the men's championship, which has been decided in a European league mode with an overall rating for several years, the women's championship is determined in a traditional Brazilian mode.

First, the twenty participating clubs compete against each other once in a first phase of the game, divided into four groups of five teams each. The top two in a group qualify for the second phase of the game with eight teams in two groups. In this phase, the teams play against each other twice in a return game. The two best placed in each group then qualify for the final round, which is played in a knockout system, in which an away goal rule applies. In the final round too, the matches will be decided in a return game, including in the final.
