Soccer South Asian Championship 2003 / Afghanistan
This article covers the Afghan national soccer team at the 2003 South Asian Cup . Afghanistan took part in the South Asian Cup for the first time. Afghanistan was invited at the request of the Asian Football Confederation , as they were not a member of the South Asian Football Federation at the time. In January / February 2002, the originally planned period of the tournament, Afghanistan was not yet on the list of participants.
