Mir Ali Asghar Akbarzada is an Afghan football coach .
Career
Akbarzada became the first coach of the country's U-23 national team, which was formed after the fall of the Taliban regime. The selection played their first games at the Asian Games in 2002 in Busan, South Korea . On September 28, 2002, the team then played their first official international game against the selection of Iran and lost 0:10. The following two games against Qatar and Lebanon were each lost 0:11 and represent the biggest defeat of a U-23 selection in Afghanistan to date.
Nonetheless, Akbarzada was installed as the new coach of the new Afghan national team in March 2003, before being replaced by Ali Askar Lali a month later .
