The AB Damm ( Latvian AB dambis ) is a dam with a street of the same name in the Latvian capital Riga .

It is located on the left, western bank of the Daugava . To the north and west of the AB Dam is the Sund arm . The AB dam thus leads in the form of a peninsula from the Großer Klüversholmen to the north between Düna and Sund. To the north is the island of Kiepenholm .

The dam was built in 1886/1887 with a length of 745 meters and a width of 42.6 meters. Other data give an initial length of 1058 meters. It served on the one hand to fortify the bank of the Daugava river and on the other hand as a port until it was blown up by German troops in 1944. Initially, it was built from rows of wooden stakes that were filled with stones. Later it was rebuilt with reinforced concrete . In the 1950s it received its present form.

On the west side of AB Damm, at the address AB Damm 2, the art project Noass is located on floating pontoons .
