ACAZ T-2

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The ACAZ T-2 aircraft was a high- wing aircraft produced by the Belgian aircraft manufacturer ACAZ ( Zeebrugge ).

The machine was developed in 1924 by the two designers Emile Allard and Alfred Renard and was the first Belgian monoplane to be made entirely of metal . In contrast to the German competition at Junkers , the high-decker ACAZ T-2 was not a commercial success. Only one machine was produced.

Many authors wrongly consider the ACAZ T-2 to be the world's first all-metal aircraft; however, the Junkers J 1 started its maiden flight in December 1915.
