ACS Award in Surface Chemistry

The ACS Award in Surface Chemistry was established in 1991 as the Arthur W. Adamson Award for Distinguished Service in the Advancement of Surface Chemistry by Occidental Petroleum Corporation and was financially supported by the company from 1993 to 2007. Since then, the award has been sponsored by the Division of Colloid and Surface Chemistry of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and various corporations. The award has had its current name since 2017. It is awarded for outstanding achievements in the field of surface chemistry . No prizes were awarded in 2011, 2015 and 2016.
