The Associação Desportiva e Recreativa Mansabá , mostly just ADR Mansabá or Desportivo Mansabá , is a sports club from the Guinea-Bissau city of Mansabá in Guinea-Bissau . He is best known for his football section .
The association welcomes its guests to the 500-seat municipal Estádio Municipal de Mansabá .
history
The association was probably founded in what was then the Portuguese colony of Portuguese Guinea, before Guinea-Bissau gained independence in 1974.
In 1991 the club was promoted to the first division, the Campeonato Nacional da Guiné-Bissau .
In 1996 Desportivo Mansabá won the championship for the first time.
At the end of the 2002 season, Mansabá rose from bottom of the table in the second division Campeonato Nacional da 2ª Divisão . In 2005 the promotion took place until relegation again in 2008. Currently (2018) Desportivo Mansabá is fighting in group A ( Série A ) of the second division for promotion to the upper house.
The club achieved its first title in 1996 with the state championship. In 2001 Mansabá won the national cup Taça Nacional da Guiné-Bissau , which he was able to win again in 2011 as a second division team. In 2011, the club also won the country's Supercup , the Super Taça Nacional .
As the 2011 cup winner, Mansabá qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup 2012 , but withdrew his participation for financial reasons.
