This season there was also the controversial victory of the Boston Patriots against the Dallas Texans on November 3, 1961. In the final play from the 1-yard line, a Patriots fan ran onto the field and at 21:28 for the Patriots saved the pass from Texans quarterback Cotton Davidson .
