The ALDB GmbH (formerly Alcatel-Lucent Digital Radio Co Ltd ) is a State-owned company based in Berlin . The company operates a nationwide digital radio system that is used by the authorities and organizations with security tasks in Germany ( BOS radio ). The company was created as a subsidiary of Alcatel-Lucent Deutschland AG within the framework of an operating agreement with the Federal Agency for Digital Radio for Authorities and Organizations with Security Tasks (BDBOS). Following the acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent by NokiaIn January 2016, the company was initially continued unchanged. In January 2019 it became the full property of BDBOS and was renamed ALDB GmbH.
