ARLA (programming language)

ARLA is a programming language developed for industrial robots .

history

It was developed by ASEA (today: ABB ) in the early 1980s . ARLA stands for A SEA Programming R obot LA nguage. The series supported by ARLA include the IRB2000 and IRB6000.

ARLA was introduced in 1981 with the S2 control. The control computer is based on two 68000 CPUs. In 1992 it was replaced by RAPID as part of the changeover to the S4 control.
