AS Corbeil-Essonnes is a French football club from the city ​​of Corbeil-Essonnes, not far from Paris .

AS Corbeil-Essonnes was founded as AS Corbeil shortly after World War II , when FC Corbeil and Sporting Club Essonne merged. The club from the Paris periphery celebrated its greatest success in 1980 when it was promoted to Division 2 (now Ligue 2 ). At the end of the 1980/81 season, however, relegation followed immediately. Although the direct resurgence was achieved in 1982, but again this time Corbeil-Essonnes, for whom the Argentine Oswaldo Piazza was player -coach, was only able to hold onto the second-highest division for one year.

In 1994, ex-player Rudi Garcia , who had meanwhile ended his career, took over the coaching position and looked after the club until 1998.
