ATI multi-rendering

ATI Multi-Rendering ( AMR ) is a multi-GPU technology from ATI Technologies (now AMD ) to operate more than one graphics card and to combine their rendering performance. AMR was first used in 2002.

ATI only uses SuperTiling at AMR and the technology was mainly used by Evans & Sutherland for commercial flight simulators .

In 2005 a revised version of AMR was then offered for the mass market as the ATI Crossfire .
