A Death for Every Sin was a Canadian metalcore and hardcore punk band from Montreal that was formed in 1999 and split up in 2003.

history

The band was formed in the summer of 1999 by guitarist Frederic Tremblay, singer Nick Racicot and drummer Ben Dussault. A short time later, guitarist Max Jenniss and bassist Phil Marchand joined the band. A short time later a first demo followed, which included three songs. Shortly afterwards the EP God's Final Descent followed on the label Sounds of Revolution from Ontario . Then came guitarist Carl Bouchard ( A Perfect Murder ) and bassist Ben Trepanier to the cast, before the debut album In a Time Where Hope I Lost was released in 2002 via Alveran Records . On April 5, 2003 the band played their last concert.

style

The band played an aggressive mix of hard and metal core and their sound is comparable to Merauder or the early Machine Head . In addition, the music can be compared to Hatebreed's , who are particularly similar to the band in terms of tempo , but the vocals in A Death for Every Sin are more aggressive.
