Background information

Catarina Bartho was a well-known dancer who performed her speedway dance in this film . This dance is a mixture that consists of elements of ballet and variety dance. The ocean she dances on is the hot tub rapids of Niagara Falls . The scenes of the waterfall were taken from the film Upper Rapids, from Bridge from 1896. The scenes in which the dancer can be seen come from the film M'lle. Cathrina Bartho from 1899. The two film elements were then completely cut together so that a new film was created.
