A Tribute to Sonata Arctica is a compilation album released by the Scottish label Ouergh Records. The project started as a crowdfunding project through Kickstarter and raised £ 5946.00.
History of origin
The project was started on October 6, 2014 as a Kickstarter project. Already on October 27th, 9 bands were announced that will participate in the album: Xandria , Sunrise, Innvein, Majesty Of Revival, Celestial Wish, Disposable, Stream of Passion , Dyscordia and Timeless Miracle .
The original publication date, June 3, 2015, could not be met. On September 12, 2015 the album was finally released for download, the planned release on CD has not yet taken place.
The cover was designed by Jan Yrlund, a Finnish designer.

Reviews
Says Siavash Nezhad of metal-observer, "It's fantastic to see Sonata Arctica being recognized as one of the greats in the Power Metal genre, and it's fantastic to see some very prominent bands cherishing Sonata Arctica." He previously criticized the cover of Xeno. It is too Metalcore-heavy.
