Aa (children's language)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Aa (or Aa ) is a child-language expression for feces that has been attested since the beginning of the 19th century . The Brothers Grimm defined in the German dictionary :

"Aa, m. merda, excrementum, two-syllable and two accented, an ancient word that only lacks certificates, more decent than the common expressions koth or dirt, but now only when spoken to children or confidentially: that is aa! aa do, do what you need. "

The expression is substantiated from the onomatopoeic interjection a – a . The word is used in particular in the expression Aa make .
