The Al al-Bayt University ( in Arabic جامعة آل البيت) is a state university opened in 1994 in the Kingdom of Jordan .
history
The construction was ordered by a royal decree of August 17, 1992. This was intended to cover the urgent need for more study places. A further royal decree of December 16, 1992 established the founding committee. On May 22, 1993, the founding rector was appointed by another royal decree. Teaching began on October 1, 1994. The official opening took place on March 6, 1995 by the patron Hussein I (Jordan) and in the presence of the then Crown Prince Hassan ibn Talal .
