History and use
The venue is located in the Lakewood Fairgrounds in Lakewood Heights. The amphitheater was built in the 1980s and cost about ten million dollars . It opened in July 1989 and is owned by the Atlanta City Council. Live Nation Entertainment runs the building complex. Internationally successful artists such as Eric Clapton , Fall Out Boy , Depeche Mode and Slipknot have performed on campus . The area holds 19,500 visitors.
