The adjective abasian (after its own name Абаза, abasa ) denotes in ethnology and linguistics
- the Abasen people living in the North Caucasus, see Abasinen
- the Abasin language spoken by this people
In chemistry, however , abasic means ( alpha privativum + basic )
- a nucleic acid with one or more missing nucleic bases
